Appleton Estate have been making rums since 1749 , they are known as an Estate rum because they do everything on their estate, including growing the sugarcane, distilling and ageing the rums, as well as bottling and labelling. Even the water source is on the estate. Jamaican rums have a particular ‘funk’ in its flavour profile, which makes them unique and highly sought after. There is no age statement on the Reserve Blend, but we know its between 6-10 years old. This has the classic orange peel note on the nose and palate, along with brown sugar, honey and cinnamon. Flavours of honey, toasted bread and sugar. Long tangy finish. This rum is great neat, but is designed to go into drinks. Makes for great full bodied cocktails , think Mai Tai or rum punch.
