About the Tequila:
We slowly age our Añejo tequila in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for two to three years. This aging process imparts a stronger influence of oak but still allows the spirit to maintain the complexion of agave. You’ll taste a hint of maple sweetness with notes of red fruit acidity, vanilla and caramel.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Gold
Aroma: Floral jasmine and oaky character with agave back notes
Taste: Sweet agave balanced with pepper, oak and floral tones
Awards/Reviews:
Best Anejo Tequila – Top Shelf Awards 2024
96 Points – Intl Wine & Spirits Competition 2023
“Lovely fresh, grassy and earthy agave aroma characteristics on the nose, with paprika, caraway seed, minerality and oak notes combining on the palate alongside a delicate mouthfeel, and vanilla and root vegetables creating a typical aged flavour and a perfumed, very complex finish.”
Double Gold – SF World Spirits Competition 2021
94 Points, Finalist – Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2021
“A warm, inviting, and spice-laden bouquet brings you to a bright and complex spirit that shows tropical fruits of papaya and kiwi, with baking spices of canella and vanilla bean. The finish is medium-long, but quite complex, finishing on a pepper bite.”
94 Points – Wine Enthusiast
“Zesty fresh herb, bell pepper and jalapeño notes lead the nose and palate. Coconut and agave anchor each sip, which echo with sage, thyme, jalapeño and a hint of smoke, finishing brisk with lemon peel, cayenne and a cooling, mentholated exhale. Aged two to three years.”
