These vineyards are on calcareous soil and are south-facing, on one of the most beautiful slopes on the right bank of the Loire, a privileged location for obtaining high quality wines.

In addition, in Domaine de la Butte the vines are cultivated with respect for the environment, since no insecticides or other chemical additives are used; the harvest is carried out manually and the grapes are sorted in the vineyard before being taken to the winery. The wine is aged in used oak barrels.

Although Jacky Blot has played a decisive role in the development and dissemination of white wines from the Montlouis area, today it also stands out for the quality of the red wines it produces, such as this Domaine de la Butte Le Pied de la Butte, which is, without a doubt, one of the best Bourgueils being produced today.
