About This Wine:
The first step in creating our cru merlot is meticulously selecting the best merlot grapes from our vineyards. After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and soft-crushed before undergoing maceration for roughly 15 days. During this two-week period of skin contact, the wine undergoes fermentation. Following fermentation, the wine is then transferred into new French oak barrique, where it ages and matures for 24 months.
Ratings & Reviews
92 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate:
“The 2006 Merlot Ros di Rol is also fabulous. It is a more understated wine than the Quantum L’Auctoctono, but equally convincing. Red berries, flowers, tobacco, sweet herbs and cedar run through this deceptively medium-bodied wine. The finish is delicate, nuanced and totally classy. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2021.” – Antonio Galloni (Feb 2011)
