Ratings & Reviews
93 Points – Decanter Magazine:
“This wine is an impressive step up in concentration and depth of flavour in the Marc Roy portfolio, with ripe curranty fruit aromas with accents of smoke, spice, and earth notes. The texture features a firm tannic grip and fresh acidity. The body is somewhat light, but there is enough density to carry the wine to a winning finish. The parcel is located in the lower part of the Clos Prieur that is classed in village appellation as opposed to the upper part, which is premier cru.” – Charles Curtis MW (Oct 2022)
Allen Meadows’ BurgHound:
“Here too the wood toast is sufficiently present to warrant pointing out on the cool, pretty and airy red berry fruit aromas where background hints of just turned earth and violet add breadth. I very much like the mid-palate texture of the medium-bodied flavors that contrast somewhat with the mildly edgy if still persistent and slightly firmer finish. This may better harmonize with a few years of keeping but for the moment, it’s not quite as well-balanced.” (Jan 2023)
